Alright, So here I am at 11:00 Sunday night going through Itunes looking at all the new hip songs they have playing on the radio. $.99 for some of the older stuff people don't listen to as much anymore, and a somewhat inconvenient $1.29 for all the songs that I really would much rather have. I can understand that the newer songs should cost more then older ones but really this pricing is completely outrageous! I can very easilly go to the store be it Target, Walmart, or Best Buy and pick up the very cd, or even download the whole CD and its a way better deal then just the individual song.
I blame the inconvenience that it brings to the table, Itunes gives you that option to download the specific songs that people want, rather then waste your money on an entire cd with maybe a 50/50 approval rating of the songs, most times its not even that high! I can recall numerous times I've bought a cd and the only song on it I liked was the song I was looking for and the rest were complete crap! What a WASTE! Apparently though convenience is something thats worth overpaying for.
The one thing on stupid Itunes I most certainly will not waste my money on is a song ringtone, it's extremely sad that people potentially buy these. $1.29 for 30 seconds worth of music you can use as a ringtone. Really Itunes? Your charging me the full price for this chunk of the song that I potentially may not even be looking for? What if I want a different section from the lyrics? Nope, Itunes says tough shit and to deal with it cuz its a quality 30 seconds for the price of an entire song. I'm still blown away by it!
Good thing is that I found an application that I downloaded for I'm pretty sure free and if not free then for like $.99 tops which allows me to take any song I have on my phone from itunes, cds, whatever and turn it into a ringtone for free. I get to choose what part of the song I want, how long I want it to be, and any added affects like fading and what not. So take that Itunes! You think you'r soooo clever. Well your not! You have been bested!
